Book Manuscript Editing
“Since 2022, John has been my editor and fellow collaborator for three books on AI and digital human agency. He is a great communicator who ‘gets it’ when it comes to complex, technical subjects. He is a pleasure to work with, and I recommend him to any author who needs to put their thoughts into clear, well-written form.”

I treat your manuscript with professional skill and care, helping you create a solid, publishable finished product.
Once you’re done writing your book manuscript, the right editing will help you get it ready for publishing. Here’s how I can help:
Developmental editing. This is the process of reading, fact checking, and recommending strategic changes to your manuscript. It include word usage, structure, and other writing quality issues, such as avoiding awkward or clichéd phrasing. A solid dev edit will give you a clear roadmap to a better book.
Developmental editing for AI-generated copy. ChatGPT and Claude are fast and fun, but they make lots of mistakes—and the results are not copyrightable. I will re-work, and sometimes rewrite your AI manuscript into a book that represents your thoughts, not the bland predictions of an LLM.
Content editing. This is where I actually make all the changes that I would be recommending in the developmental editing process.
Book doctoring. This is a much more involved process where I completely revise and rewrite your existing manuscript—subject to your approval.
